Sandwich roofing systems are combination of mechanically attached different type of layers to each other. If simply disclosed it is the composition of a load bearing roof deck at the bottom, vapor barrier layer on it, metal or wooden spacing members where mineral fiber type heat insulation is inserted between the bottom deck and upper load bearing, water proof roofing layer which is fixed on the spacers.

Mineral fiber heat insulation layer is affected because of the moisture passing through the penetrated vapor barrier layer which occurs while attaching the layers of the system to each other by means of screws. Because of this reason heat insulation layer loses its quality and function causing increase in the operating costs.

In the scope of the study, generic information is given on sandwich systems which the standing seam type of roofing is also a sandwich system. A new design is investigated based on standing seam type roofing system where it is possible to make a sandwich system without penetrating the vapor barrier layer.

Because of their light-weight structure, standing seam roofing sheets can be manufactured on site in various widths, rib heights and in lengths more than 100 mt, by portable roll-forming machines. This enables complex and wide roof and wall claddings in shorter installation times.

Thanks to our company design panels with 50mm and more rib heights, it is possible to construct waterproof roof skins up to 1.5% roof slope. The panels, being suitable for seaming, are installed on the roof base using concealed moving screw clips or legs.

By using a wide range of high quality materials, architects and designers can create different kinds of roofs and facades as well as imaginative roofscapes. Standing seam roofing sheets and auxiliary elements are available not only in natural aluminium, titanium, zinc, stainless and aluminized steel but also prepainted aluminium, galvanized steel. All RAL colors are available in high quality in polyester and PVDF coating in accordance with architectural needs. Whether used in new construction or traditional/avant-garde renovations, standing seam panels are an elegant partner for buildings in complete harmony with their tapered, curved, tapered curved shapes.

KKP 40/350-450 is a unique panel which can be connected to each other at adjacent sides by welding. A special robot welds the panels to each other to form a continuous waterproof roofing layer even in 0% roof slope. The panels can also be manufactured from prepainted metals and be welded without harming the paint thanks to their special conjunction design. Fixed on the roofbase with the legs on the side conjunctions, the panels are able to move to all sides without being effected by the changes in the temperature. After welding, the panel conjunction points are covered with a continuous cap which is also attached by robot seaming. This method, which has been designed by our company, has first been applied for KIEV/BORYSPIL Airport successfully.
